Getting Involved

We have some fantastic opportunities for people to get involved at The Collection.

Volunteering is a fantastic chance to get involved in something you enjoy, meet new friends, gain experience and have a real feeling of benefiting your community.

We try our best to accommodate everyone who wishes to volunteer with us, however, please be advised that there is often a very high demand for our volunteering activities. As a consequence we are not always able to offer the type of activity you may wish to carry out. In the event of no suitable activity being available for you we will keep your details on file and contact you should a new opportunity arise.

If we are unable to provide a suitable activity for you please contact your local volunteer centre for details of a wide range of other opportunities.

We welcome applications from everybody over the age of 16 regardless of gender, disability, sexual orientation and ethnicity. We are particularly keen to engage with underrepresented members of our community, if we do not offer a volunteering opportunity that you feel you could help us provide please get in touch.

Unfortunately we cannot accept volunteers under the age of 16 for insurance reasons. Under 16’s may apply for work experience (speak to your teacher for more information) or engage with the Duke of Edinburgh scheme (www.dofe.org).

How to Apply

Please visit the Lincolnshire County Council Cultural Volunteering pages to see what opportunities are currently available and complete the online application form.  Please be sure to complete as much of the form as possible.  If the opportunity you applied for is unavailable we may be able to offer you something similar.

Please be aware that for some volunteer roles involving contact with children and vulnerable adults there will be a requirement for a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check.
