Visiting The Collection
The Collection brings together an award winning archaeology museum and the region’s premier art gallery, the Usher Gallery, in the heart of historic Lincoln.
Come face to face with Lincolnshire’s earliest inhabitants in the museum and explore the wonderful art collections in the Usher Gallery before relaxing in the Stokes at The Collection cafe. Discover Play, our exciting space for younger visitors and enjoy our vibrant exhibition programme.
All public areas of the museum and the Usher Gallery are fully accessible and we have a buggy park and public lockers in the museum.
Open Daily 10am - 4pm last entry 3:45pm
Closed 24 - 26 Dec & 31 Dec - 1 Jan.
Opens 10:45am first Monday of each month for staff training.

Get directions…Parking
When coming into Lincoln, follow directions for the Cultural Quarter. The nearest car parks to the museum are on Danes Terrace, Flaxengate and Broadgate.
Archaeology at The Collection
People have inhabited the landscape of Lincolnshire for nearly half a million years. The archaeology gallery takes visitors on a journey through the Stone, Bronze and Iron Ages before exploring the Roman, Saxon, Viking and Medieval eras.
